In May last year, Dr Céline Rojon organised a one-day workshop on the topic of evidence-based practice. The idea behind the event, funded through the University of Edinburgh Business School’s World Class Faculty Workshop scheme, was to bring together representatives from four domains engaged with evidence-based practice (namely health care, management, education and policy) to share insights with the audience and facilitate inter-domain learning.

If you would like to refresh your memory on what was covered in the workshop, please see the blog Céline prepared at the time: Evidence-Based Practice: Insights from Key Domains – 2nd May

Following the workshop, Céline put together a short article entitled ‘Evidence-based practice: Isn’t it evident’, in which she introduces the reader to the idea of evidence-based practice and further provides a brief overview of the ways in which evidence-based practice is being used both in psychology (her core discipline) and in other professional contexts. The article was recently published in Occupational Psychology (OP) Matters, a peer-reviewed outlet published by the British Psychological Society’s Division of Occupational Psychology. Though unfortunately the article is not available open access, Céline will very happily email interested colleagues a copy of it (please get in touch with her directly: celine.rojon@ed.ac.uk).
