EPSRC Doctoral Training Partnership
Congratulations to Roberto Rossi who has secured funding from the EPSRC Doctoral Training Partnership for his project “Managerial tools for mitigating inventory record inaccuracy in stochastic inventory systems. Half of the funding will come from CHSS allocated funds, and the other half from the College of Science and Engineering and is to support partnerships between the Colleges. Well done Roberto!
CHSS Knowledge Exchange and Impact Grant
Congratulations to Wendy Loretto who has received confirmation that her application to the College Knowledge Exchange and Impact Grant has been successful. The project “Grandparenting, Care Commitments and Employment” seeks to increase understanding of the experiences, preferences and perspectives of grandparents providing care and how their decisions interact with their work, career and retirement choices, and Wendy and her co-investigator at Brighton Business School will work with charities Grandparents Plus and Age UK. Well done Wendy!
AHRC Peer Reviewer
Charlotte Gilmore has been appointed as a peer reviewer for the AHRC. Charlotte is the first in our School to have secured AHRC funding, so this is a fantastic opportunity for us to become more familiar with the Council. Congratulations Charlotte!

Kate Supatanakornkij (PGR student) won best paper award at the 4th Annual International Conference on Accounting & finance on 28/29 April in Phuket, Thailand.
Ilona Suojanen (PGR student) won the best poster award at the recent SGS Business and Management Pathway Colloquium in Stirling.
Heather Ross (PGR student) won best paper award at the 3rd International Research Conference in Marketing & Marketing theory: past, present & future.
