Our course combines the latest theory with practical application, including the opportunity to work with industry and business professionals. We prepare students for diverse roles in the financial, corporate, and energy sectors.

Our MSc Finance is ranked 40th in the world’s top 55 programmes. And it is ranked 6th out of 15 UK universities.

The Financial Times (FT) Masters in Finance 2021 ranking looks at a variety of factors such as diversity, and gathers feedback from graduates on their experiences.

We score strongly for having female faculty (we are 14th in the world, 6th in the UK), for having female students (10th in the world, 4th in the UK), and for having an international mix of students (joint 12th in the world, 8th in the UK).

Ben Sila, director of the MSc Finance, said:

"Rankings are one way of assessing impact, and the Business School thanks all our alumni who take part in these surveys. We also thank them, and our industry partners, for their continued support in enhancing our student experience.

"Edinburgh’s MSc in Finance continues to place a strong emphasis on global employability and industry engagement. By working with the business community and our global network of alumni, we help build the skills and knowledge our students need for the changing world of work.”
