Established to strengthen financial wellbeing and resilience in the UK, the charitable foundation focuses on supporting independent research.
The Standard Life Foundation was established in 2016 by Standard Life plc (now known as Standard Life Aberdeen plc) as a public interest, research-driven charity. The Foundation is a registered charity with its own Board of Trustees, and operates separately from Standard Life Aberdeen plc.
A Professor of Organisational Behaviour, Loretto’s interest in diversity has shaped both her research and career. She has written extensively about age and employment, looking into how people’s attitudes and practices evolve in a world marked by ever-extending working lives.
Loretto is currently one of the few women Business School Deans in the UK.
