Securing a role with an energy-focused financial advisory with a strong emphasis on the energy transition has given Domenico insights into the importance of energy security in this volatile time.

Why did you choose to study at the University of Edinburgh Business School?

Being considered one of the top educational institutions in the world, it was clear to me that studying at the University of Edinburgh would provide me with substantial opportunities in the areas of investment banking and venture capital.

Tell us about your career path after graduating?

My experience as a Merger and Acquisition Analyst for one of Peru’s largest electrical utilities companies prior to my graduation helped me secure a job straight after university in a boutique energy-focused financial advisory firm with a strong emphasis on the energy transition.

Being able to work with both established and revolutionary technologies has exposed me to a variety of clients addressing the energy transition. This has given me an insight into the importance of energy security at a time when the geopolitical landscape is at its most volatile since the end of the Cold War.

How has your degree prepared you for your career so far?

Through leadership positions in multiple societies such as Edinburgh Entrepreneurs and Edinburgh Trading and Investment Club, I was able to learn and work on technical and soft skills that have been critical to my success in my current position.
