Since her graduation in 2014, Seham has been engaged in various research projects focusing on entrepreneurship in Egypt and developing countries.

How does it feel to be selected for the Alumni 100 list?

"I am so proud to be selected. This makes me feel like I have done something valuable since my graduation in 2014."

What made you choose to study at the University of Edinburgh Business School?

"The university ranking, profile of faculty members, research publications, and location in amazing Scotland."

What are your memories of studying at the Business School?

"I remember taking walks by the Meadows between classes. I also remember my time studying at the library and sitting behind the window and looking at the rain."

What key thing that you learnt at the Business School do you still rely on today?

"Working with a diverse group of people from every corner in the world was of such great value on both personal and professional levels."

Proudest work-related achievement to date?

"I have published four academic articles in peer-reviewed journals, and received an Emerald Literati Award on one of them. I managed two projects successfully; one of them is a master's programme and the other is research that I am still managing. I have travelled to more than 20 countries attending conferences, workshops, seminars, and meetings. I am invited to review journal articles in peer-reviewed journals."

What's the one thing you think current students need to develop or learn before entering the modern workplace?

"Accepting others and teamwork."
