Co-opetitive Liner Shipping Network Design Problem
Research Summary
With an increasingly competitive global market, cooperation and competition are essential elements between companies in maritime industries. Liner shipping service networks need to be comprehensive by considering other stakeholders.
King-Tong's research aims to optimise the service network design for liner shipping alliances, thus increasing the competitiveness of the alliances while maintaining fairness between allies. His approach merges game theory, mathematical programming, and heuristics.
